What you can ask#
Talk to the assistant as you would to a teammate who knows Gamearly. Name the game when you have several. Set-up work (drafts, imports, edits) is done right away and linked; anything that goes public, reaches players or is deleted is shown to you first and waits for your yes.
⚠ marks actions that reach players or money: the assistant says so before you confirm.
Your projects#
You can
- list your projects, your role on each, and what the assistant may do there;
- get a setup checklist, with a link to fix each missing item:
- media and descriptions;
- Steam or IGDB link;
- Discord, Gamearly Connect and payouts;
- builds;
- check the plan, the trial, what is locked and the monthly quotas left;
- create a project, or import it from Steam or IGDB. The import fills the page, including the engine when IGDB knows it. The project's creation steps are completed as in the dashboard, and the assistant only asks you for the required fields that are still missing, often none;
- edit everything on the page:
- title and descriptions;
- genres, platforms and languages;
- links;
- system requirements and age ratings;
- the main button (follow, wishlist, play, buy…);
- add images:
- from a URL;
- from your computer, with assistants that can run commands, such as Claude Code or Cursor;
- set the cover, logo, thumbnail and gallery;
- submit a draft project for Gamearly's review ⚠.
Try
- "What's missing before Starfall can go live?"
- "Import my game from Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/123456"
- "Rewrite the short description to be punchier, keep it under 150 characters."
- "Use
art/keyart.pngas the cover and the 5 screenshots inart/shots/as the gallery." - "Change the main button to Wishlist on Steam."
- "How many quests can I still create this month on the free plan?"
What needs your attention#
You can
- get, in one answer, what is waiting for the team:
- quests to approve;
- player submissions to validate;
- playtest registrations;
- contests waiting for a decision;
- failed builds;
- quests ending soon;
- empty days ahead;
- see everything scheduled over a period, day by day, and the days with nothing planned:
- quests;
- votes;
- contest phases;
- articles;
- playtests.
Try
- "What should I do today on Starfall?"
- "Show me everything planned for the next two weeks and where the gaps are."
- "Validate all pending screenshot submissions that actually show the boss, and list the ones you're unsure about."
Quests#
You can
- list quests with their stats (views, starts, completions, completion rate), or read one with its funnel;
- create quests from any template, with tasks such as:
- follow the project, join Discord;
- wishlist, review or play on Steam;
- reach a playtime;
- answer a quiz or a survey, find a secret code;
- send an image or a text answer;
- trigger an in-game event;
- schedule a quest, set its XP and rewards, and limit it in time;
- lock a quest behind conditions: a rank on your game, a Gamearly level, a completed player profile, other quests or whole quest groups done first;
- organise quests in groups (sections with a title and a cover), reorder them, move quests between them, and lock a whole group behind the same conditions;
- edit, activate, archive or delete a draft;
- validate or reject player submissions.
Try
- "Create a lore quiz with 5 questions about the Ashen Order, 50 XP, live on Friday 6pm."
- "Make a 'join our Discord' quest with the Founder avatar as reward."
- "Which quests have the worst completion rate, and why do players drop?"
- "Archive every quest that ended more than a month ago."
- "Put the three lore quizzes in a 'Chapter 2' group that unlocks at rank 2, once Chapter 1 is done."
AI quest manager#
You can
- let the quest manager write a brief about your game and answer its questions;
- generate a plan of quests for the coming weeks;
- review the proposed quests, approve, reschedule or publish them now;
- change its settings.
Try
- "Set up the quest manager for Starfall and ask me what you need."
- "Plan the next 3 weeks of quests around the demo launch on the 20th."
- "Show me the quests waiting for review and approve the ones without rewards."
Votes, contests, articles and forum#
You can
- Votes:
- create one (single choice, multiple choice, yes/no, pick an image) with dates;
- read the results;
- edit or remove it.
- Contests:
- create one with its submission, voting and result phases, rewards and formats;
- read submissions;
- shortlist them and pick the winner;
- delete a contest.
- Articles:
- write and publish news, dev diaries, patch notes and events in Markdown;
- edit or remove them.
- Forum:
- read threads;
- post, edit, pin or remove threads.
- Comments:
- read the comments on the project page, quests, articles, threads, votes, contests and playtests;
- reply, post, or remove abusive ones.
Try
- "Open a vote on the next boss: Frost Wyrm, Iron Golem or Hollow King, one week."
- "Launch a fan art contest: 2 weeks of submissions, community vote, winner gets a Steam key."
- "Write patch notes for 0.4 from this changelog and publish them."
- "Summarise what players said on the forum this week and draft replies to the top 3 threads."
- "Remove the spam comments on the last article."
Rewards#
You can
- browse the catalogue with stock and where each reward is used;
- create rewards:
- avatars, banners and wallpapers;
- Discord roles and physical goods;
- access to a private build or a playtest;
- upload game keys (Steam, itch.io, Epic, GOG…) and check for duplicates first;
- attach or detach rewards on quests, contests and leaderboard rules;
- change titles and stock, and delete rewards nobody earned yet.
Try
- "Upload these 200 Steam keys as 'Launch keys' and attach 50 to the launch quest."
- "Create a 'Beta tester' Discord role reward and give it to everyone who finishes the playtest."
- "Which rewards are almost out of stock?"
Builds#
You can
- check a zip before uploading:
- it must contain a real game executable for the platform (Windows
.exe, macOS.app, Linux binary); - no unsafe paths, links or password-protected files;
- upload a build from your computer, with assistants that can run commands, and follow its processing until it's ready;
- choose which executable the launcher starts, and with which arguments;
- rename a build, edit its patch notes, or delete it;
- publish a build on a channel (demo, alpha, beta, early access, main, DLC, QA) ⚠, or unpublish it;
- sell it on the Gamearly store ⚠ (needs payouts set up);
- control who can play a private build:
- give access to players, an e-mail address, a saved segment ⚠, a filter ⚠ or a player list ⚠;
- revoke access;
- generate access keys.
A chat-only assistant (claude.ai, ChatGPT) cannot read your disk. It gives you the commands to run, or the link to the builds page.
Try
- "Check
builds/Starfall-0.4-win.zipand upload it as version 0.4 for Windows." - "Publish 0.4 on the beta channel."
- "Give beta access to everyone in my 'Top testers' list, until the end of the month."
- "Why did my last build fail?"
- "Generate 100 access keys for the press channel."
Playtests#
You can
- create a playtest on a ready build, with:
- an NDA;
- tasks;
- a feedback questionnaire;
- rewards;
- a schedule;
- open it ⚠, close it, or delete it;
- approve or reject registrations, one by one or in bulk;
- read the results:
- participation;
- gameplay;
- crashes;
- feedback, optionally for one segment of testers;
- get an AI summary of the feedback.
Try
- "Set up a closed playtest of 0.4 for 2 weeks with an NDA and a 5-question survey."
- "Approve every registration from players with more than 10 hours played."
- "What are the top 3 complaints from the playtest, with quotes?"
- "Compare the feedback of testers who played more than 5 hours with the others."
Analytics#
You can
- read every dashboard section:
- overview;
- engagement;
- playtests;
- game activity;
- sales;
- audience, genome and retention;
- in-game events;
- pick the period (last 7, 30 or 90 days, a month, all time, or custom dates), compare with the previous one, and narrow it to an audience or a segment. Audiences:
- followers, players and buyers;
- playtesters, quest completers and voters;
- players who added to cart, boosters and streamers;
- explore in-game events:
- trends;
- funnels;
- paths;
- retention;
- distributions;
- one player's timeline;
- label raw events, tags and traits, save funnels, and pin charts on the events overview.
Every number comes with its period, audience and freshness, so you can check it on the dashboard.
Try
- "How did the last 30 days compare with the 30 before? What changed most?"
- "Where do players drop between tutorial_start and boss_1_defeated?"
- "What's the day-7 retention of players who came from the demo?"
- "Where are my buyers from, and what else do they play?"
- "Rename the event lvl_up to 'Level up' and pin a chart of it on the overview."
Segments, player lists and messages#
You can
- describe a group of players in plain words and get a segment ("French players who bought the game but stopped playing"), with how many match;
- list the matching players: username, last seen, playtime, spend, level. E-mails and names are never shown;
- save segments, delete them, or freeze one into a player list;
- create player lists, add or remove players, rename or delete lists;
- send a message to a segment ⚠, after a preview of who receives it and the quotas left, and see past messages.
Try
- "How many players have more than 20 hours but haven't played in two weeks?"
- "Save them as 'Lapsed veterans' and send them a message about the new update."
- "Make a list of the 50 most active forum posters."
- "Which messages did we send this month, and to how many players?"
Advice#
The assistant knows how each Gamearly feature works, its limits and what works well, and has a launch playbook.
Try
- "What's a good quest plan for the month before a Steam Next Fest?"
- "How should I use contests to grow my Discord?"
- "Give me a 4-week community plan for my early access launch."
Not available through assistants#
These stay in the dashboard; the assistant gives you the link: - your password, e-mail and sessions; - payment methods and subscription changes; - team members; - connecting other assistants.
